    George Long Elementary School supports the Kindergarteners through 5th graders of the Grass Lake Community School District. The elementary building also houses the our Little Warriors Preschool & Childcare, which can be reached at 517-867-5650. Our school was extensively renovated and a new wing was added on in 2007. We enjoy large rooms, modern audio-visual equipment, and a cooperative staff committed to helping all of our students to succeed. Our instructional hours are 7:50 AM-3:11 PM.   • Lauren Doser and Nathan Maynard - Spelling Bee Champions

    Congratulations to George Long Elementary School 5th Grader Lauren Doser for winning the George Long Elementary 5th Grade Spelling Bee on Thursday, January 30, and to Nathan Maynard, who was our runner-up. Lauren will represent George Long Elementary School at the regional spelling bee on Wednesday, March 11, at the Western High School Performing Arts Center, where she will be spelling against regional 5th through 8th grade students. If for some reason Lauren is not able to attend the Bee, Nathan will stand in her place. Well done Lauren and Nathan!

    Congratulations to our Grass Lake Community Schools students and teachers as we review the results of standardized testing that was completed during the 2018-2019 school year.     "Thank you" to the Oklahoma City Fire Department for participating so fully with Ms. Bahlau's George Long Elementary School 1st Grade class as they recognize Fire Prevention Month. The class will be visiting our Grass Lake Charter Township Fire Department next week, along with the remainder of our 1st graders. Joining in the tour will be our Preschool students, and our Kindergarten students, as they plan to meet our volunteer firefighters, view their equipment, and learn more about fire safety.     Mrs. Michelle Clark is the Principal at George Long Elementary School. She is the instructional leader for our 600+ Grass Lake students who are in our Young 5's program through our 5th grade. Mrs. Clark leads a school that is diverse in its offerings and cognizant of each of our student's needs as they are being prepared to move onto Middle School.
