I would like to thank the many volunteers which consisted of administrators, school board members, teachers, students, community members, parents, grandparents, alumni, and the Warrior Club, who made this year's 2023 MHSPLA Regional Powerlifting meet run smoothly! I would also like to thank everyone who helped with set-up on Friday afternoon and with the takedown of the equipment on Saturday after the completion of the meet. Over twenty schools from all over the state competed in the Regional meet! This year’s powerlifting meet was one of the largest attended meets Grass Lake has ever hosted, with over 500 lifters competing! There were many compliments given on how well the powerlifting meet went this past Saturday by both parents and coaches! Some of the coaches said that it was the best powerlifting meet they participated in and that we did a solid job! It is just a reminder of what a great, supportive community we have here in Grass Lake! I can’t say enough of how proud I am to be a part of a community that is so supportive and dedicated to our student-athletes! Through the support of the many volunteers and their assistance with the Powerlifting meets, we have been able to purchase new weight room equipment that many student-athletes have benefited from such as new double racks, barbells, weight plates, weight belts, among others.
