Ms. Bahlau's Students Make their Mark on Belizean Conservation
Recently George Long Elementary School teacher Dakota Bahlau returned home after completing her Wildlife Management and Education Internship in Belize at the Belize Zoo located in the Belize Central Wildlife Corridor. During the 2017-2018 school year Ms. Bahlau's 1st grade students Olivianna LaFave and Dilynn Frantz created projects based on Belizean animals after hearing Ms. Bahlau's stories from previous work in Belize. Ms. Bahlau promised to take their projects with her on this year's trip to Belize.
Ms. Bahlau reports that the zookeepers were very impressed with Olivianna's and Dilynn's work and they were excited to hear that the conservation message is being heard in our country. What an exciting time to see Grass Lake going international!!! Click on the link below to view some of Ms. Bahlau's experience.
