    WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7 -
    FACE TO FACE STUDENTS IN SCHOOL FOR COUNT DAY

    On Wednesday, October 7, all Grass Lake Community Schools Face-Face students will be coming to school for "Student Count Day". Buses will be running their normal routes they currently run on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays, and Fridays, and our schools will be open their regular hours.

    At this time Wednesday, October 7, will be the only Wednesday that is not virtual learning for our Face-Face students. We will return to virtual learning on Wednesday, October 14, and will continue until further notice.

    (30 minute later starts than last year. 25 minute earlier releases.)

    Grass Lake High School - 8:15 AM-2:41 PM
    George Long Elementary School - 8:20 AM-2:46 PM

    As of Friday, August 14, 2020, Schools of Choice enrollments for Grass Lake Community Schools grades Kindergarten through 8 are now closed due to those classes being full.

     BUS DRIVERS NEEDED -

    Grass Lake Community Schools is in need of three bus drivers for the 2020-2021 school year. These are part-time positions working 6:45 AM-8:15 AM, and 2:15 PM-3:45 PM, being paid $45.31 per day for handling our morning and afternoon student bus runs. These positions also have optional additional income opportunities with extra-run field trips.

    No experience is necessary. Certifications and training are paid for by us. Vision insurance is provided. If interested in discussing the possibilities, contact Doug Moeckel at 517-867-5544, or doug.moeckel@grasslakeschools.com.

  • Coronavirus Protection

    While the Coronavirus Covid 19 is being monitored by our government agencies, the Michigan Department of Education reminds all of us to maintain basic cleanliness and prevention methods that include: o Remaining at home if you are sick and avoid close contact with people who are sick. o Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. o Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are unavailable. o Covering cough and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve. Provide adequate supplies within easy reach, including tissues and no-touch trash cans.

    The staff at Grass Lake Community Schools educates students in three buildings that are located in the growing community of Grass Lake.
