We're glad you have stopped to see our school district's website. Our district enrolls over 1,250 students in our pre-school through 12th grade system in three buildings. We are continually workingáto improve our students' academic achievement by increasing rigor, while promoting relevance and relationships with our students.áWe are located in the Township of Grass Lake in Jackson County in the south-central area of Michigan, just south of Interstate 94, approximately 20 miles west of Ann Arbor and 10 miles east of Jackson. GLHS Students Find Success at Business Leadership Conference
Reporting on achievements by our students, the following Jackson Area Career Center students from Grass Lake qualified for the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference being held in March in Grand Rapids by participating in the BPA Regional Leadership Conference at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn on January 8. Congratulations to Ben Patten, Jacob Bray, Elijah Nichols, and Ryan Wise. (see more)á
George Long Elementary School Innovates with STEM Education
George Long Elementary School teachers have been working hard to extend STEM experiences for our students. Most recently is the introduction of Ardusat, whicháprovides an interactive platform focused toward STEM that gives instruction on how to run experiments in the classroom. The platform provides hands-on tools for students to design and run their own experiments using sensors. (see more)
Thank You Mobil and Kelly Express Mart
Grass Lake High School would like to thank Mobil and Kelly Express Mart for the donation of $500 in grant funds for our FIRST Robotics Team. FIRST Robotics is an after school activity for students interested in building, design, engineering, and competing against other schools.á With the help of generous gifts such as this, our students are able to enjoy this wonderful program to its fullest potential.
